Last year, Debbie received her award for 25 years of service with the NLMTA and has no intention of stopping anytime soon. During that time, she served for 5 years as a public member of the College of Physiotherapists of Newfoundland Labrador, 6 years as an examiner with the College of Massage Therapists NL, and has recently stepped down from her position on the College of Massage Therapists executive board as Chair of the Finance Committee.

In her early years of practice, Debbie volunteered with the Aids Committee donating her time providing massage therapy to HIV positive individuals, attending outreaches and supporting many fundraisers including Spin For Kids. Debbie prefers a team approach to resolve many conditions and has regularly witnessed the benefits and superior outcomes for her clients, using this approach. Her natural tendency to be inquisitive, has been a driving force in learning how other disciplines approach various pathologies, and how together with her skills, her clients condition can be resolved more efficiently. She believes a thorough assessment is necessary in setting goals and monitoring results. Her knowledge and experience in various advanced techniques, offer many options for the treatment of conditions presented to her. Debbie is a member of the Canadian Coaches Federation and is a Certified Coach Practitioner with a focus on motivation and wellness. The addition of this to her practice has been life changing to her clients. During a brief Hiatus of four years in Norris Point and Pasadena she was able to completely resolve Hip Bursitis in less than 2 weeks for a client who had been suffering for 5 months prior to that. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis Elbow, Sciatica, sports injuries in high school students, TMJ, Frozen Shoulder and many other conditions were, and are, treated successfully with no side effects. Debbie enjoys educating her clients and teaches ways to incorporate required home care into their daily routine whenever appropriate. Debbie knows that a good work/life balance is essential and practices this by making time to get out into nature with her son or close friends, spending time with her aging parents, listening to inspirational podcasts and attending monthly breakfast meetings with other members of The Positive Thinkers Club.
